My coworker nearly ran himself and a friendover with a 2004 mustang gt. Apparently he tried to jumpstart it and didn’t bother to put his foot on the clutch just stuck a leg through the open door put his foot on the brake and thought good enough. The car was in gear(of course he swears it wasn’t) and smashed into the side of the pickup that was trying to jump him. Only minor injuries to the idiot and the guy trying to help him.

Wait, 2004 and no start lockout switch on the clutch? Something about his story doesn’t add up...

First thing I asked him how did you get it to start without the clutch in? He says it just starts, but he is an idiot so...

Bypassed for remote start?

He wouldve remotely started it into something by now.

My dad’s got an ‘02 GT. Can’t start it without the clutch engaged.

He’s probably just not telling the truth about how he wrecked it. Or mustangs innately want to run over pedestrians...

My ‘05 Dakota doesn’t have a clutch lockout. It’s possible if you’re really dumb I guess.
I’ve started it in gear before, but I’ve only gone where I intended to go.

That’s what I would have expected.
